Sanctuary Mental Health Course

Equipping the Church to support mental health and wellbeing

The Sanctuary Course is an eight-week small group resource that helps churches engage in open, informed, and compassionate conversations about mental health. Developed by a Canadian Christian nonprofit, it blends psychological insights, social connection, and theological reflection to explore topics like stigma, recovery, caregiving, and self-care. Each session includes a video, Scripture reading, discussion questions, and real-life stories from individuals living with mental health challenges. Rooted in both research and lived experience, the course is designed for use in diverse settings and offers tools to help faith communities become places of understanding and support.
